Tlingit-Haida Regional Housing Authority prepares to deploy it's new web site offering visitors, clients, partners and investors a dynamic look at who we are and what we do. The website gears to offer information about all of our programs and services, provide easy contacting ability for clients to reach our staff, circulate our press releases and other publications electronically for anyone to access. We also introduced a mortgage calculator, weather reports, our history and employment opportunities.
"We want to extend all of our facets out there to the web community and at the same time, offer additional features and resources that are only available electronically. Most people these days either have a computer with Internet or access to one. I feel that having a strong presence on the web is every bit as important as any other means of delivering our content" says Richard Sheridan, who was brought on to develop our Internet presence. "We also want to provide interaction and intereactive content that allows our clients and visitors a means to share their ideas and concerns with us as well as offer to them a variety of tools to help them build a better housing future".
This deployment marks the first phase of development for our new site and offers a presence via the Internet. Subsequent phases of development will introduce Flash-based tutorials, video and knowledge reviews to prepare prospective home-buyers and other clients for our programs. "We want to support our clients in every way we can, if we can offer them tutorials and interactive education on topics such as budgeting, home improvement, energy rating process and other important facets of the home, we feel that educating the client empowers them against a potentially scarey situation that is buying your first home".
