Nov. 20 – THRHA President Dr. Blake Kazama, Vice President of Tribal Service Ricardo Worl, Occupancy Specialist Jerry Bennett, Real Estate Broker Mike Ban, and Maintenance Coordinator Robert Reimer meet with the Chilkat Indian Village to discuss various options for vacant units in Klukwan. Dr. Kazama reported that the meeting was a positive step toward developing a good working relationship. “We look forward to working and supporting independent tribes,” he said.
Nov. 20 – Norton Gregory, Housing Programs Manager; Kari Metz, Rental Program Supervisor; Jocelyn Ramirez, Tribal Services Coordinator; Louise Kadinger, Energy Programs Coordinator; and Steve Bennett, DCM Technician – II participated in the Craig Community Association’s Open House. About 150 Tribal citizens attended the event. THRHA and several Southeast Native organizations provided information about their programs.
Nov. 20 – Last Friday the Klawock Senior Center celebrated its first year anniversary. THRHA hosted cake and coffee at center.

THRHA Employee Returns home to Juneau
Tlingit-Haida Regional Housing Authority welcomes back Bert Bennett Jr. into our Housing Programs Department. Bert left us in January 2006 to lower peninsula Michigan to pursue his academic goals and experience the east coast. Mr. Bennett is now in charge of our HOAP Program as a Rental Programs Specialist and we believe that he will be a valuable asset to the housing programs with his strengths and experiences from working with us before.
