Terms of Program Use Criteria
Tlingit-Haida Regional Housing Authority administers the Rural Federal HUD 184 Guaranteed Loan Program which is sourced by Alaska Housing Finance Corporation, comes with terms or conditions you are required to agree and adhere to during the commission of your application acceptance. The terms for this program are..
- The proceeds of a HUD 184 loan may be used for the purchase, purchase/renovation, or the financing for owner/builder new construction of single-family or duplex housing to be owned by Native Americans.
- Loans may be made for “paying off” a Mutual Help home, allowing the property to be conveyed to the homeowner. A loan may also be used to pay off and rehabilitate a Mutual Help Home.
- A loan under this program may not be used to rehabilitate a home which is still under the Mutual Help program and has not been conveyed to the home buyer or a unit owned by the Indian Housing Authority under the Indian Housing Program.
- Property must be located in a AHFC defined rural community.
