Tlingit-Haida Regional Housing Authority's Fiscal staff is a group of highly trained and dedicated individuals who track the finances of the housing authority. They process all accounts payables and receivables, process the payroll for 75-125 employees, manage the housing authority's fiscal budget and provide financial evaluation for new and current projects. In addition, they track and report each tribe's annual NAHASDA allocation. The Fiscal Officer Joyce Nelson oversees all fiscal operations and ensures smooth transition and flow of budget and expenditure processes. Our Senior Accountant Joyce Nelson administers employee benefits, manages the accounting for all departments and grants including NAHASDA and compiles the monthly reports for them. Our Accountant Donna Samaniego is responsible for bank reconciliation, general ledgers and accounts receivable. She also audits tenant receipts and charge tracking for housing repairs. Our Accounts Payable Specialist, Claudine Wallin processes all of the housing authority expenditures including purchase orders, check requests, travel and cash receipts. Our Payroll Specialist Renee Southerland process all in-house and field staff for payroll and leave, generates month-end reports, generates tenant billing statements and processes daily deposits.

Tlingit-Haida Regional Housing Authority's Fiscal staff manages the income, expenditures and assets of all housing authority locations throughout Southeast Alaska in the area of $100 Million annually.
